A brilliant win in the first stage, a nice 3rd place in the second and the 10th place for the final sprint are the three main things to remember from the last edition of Cymru Taith. Emrick Stinchfield, at the top of his form, was the rider of this small second Div tour. Helped by a determined team, the Australian rider was more than strong during the two days race.
Direct effect was a quick punch to the 33rd place.
MCT is back in TOp Division, for sure a joyful moment for Michel and all the team but after 2 seasons away from the elite, MCT has not yet been able to construct a highly competitive team.
"Things have not changed a lot, as we only have our nice climbing team and 6 break away riders!" has underlined Michel. "To be able to stay in the Top 25, we absolutely need more climbing mates or even a second climbing team"
An incredible sprinter has already been spotted by MCT but the board is still not motivated to shift on sprint races!
For now, we only know that MCT riders want to enjoy the experience of being in the Top League and bring back home the maximum of points!
